Feature
We have been meditating as a group for two years and made contact with local Sri Aurobindo groups in November 2000. All members commited to meditating at the Centre once a week, on Monday nights from 7:00-9:00pm. Meditation includes karma yoga, music, reading from Savitri and other works of Sri Aurobindo or the Mother, and silent concentration. We also hold a study circle one evening per month. We have a routine of Karma Yoga, and a stately old victorian mansion as our centre's home. Facilities include a library of books by and on Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, a sitting room with a capacity of 10 people, a meditation room with a capacity of 15 to 20 people, a kitchen and guest room. We are in regular contact with Matagiri and with the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry.
Future plans:
The Centre has living space for quite a few people, and could develop into an Ashram when the right people might arrive.

Description:
Founded on April 3rd 1965 by Madeleine Gosselin with blessings from the Mother, the center presently houses the relics of Sri Aurobindo in its spacious meditation room. Collective meditations on Wednesdays, Sundays and Darshan days are open to the public. The boutique sells Sri Aurobindo's, Mother's and disciple's books in French and English, and carries other esoteric books, incense, statues and crafts from Pondicherry and here. Future plans: With Mother's grace, to become the working instruments of the Mother and to offer her ourselves with sincerity and devotion.
How you can help: One can help through donations, and work. Help is needed in the Center's kitchen and dining room, maintaince of the Center's buildings and distribution of the books. If we had the funds, we would like to renovate the boutique and buy a car for the Center's needs.
