This is all very intresing. I started taking a yoga class about a month ago, but now I think it's taking me. If you are new on this path and woud like to have a cyber friend to discuss it, write to me. It seams my friends and family are not at the same point on the path.

Isnt there anyone of you out there who can give us more information about this mystic lady (Kamala Reddy-Bednarz (MOTHER MEERA)) who lives at shaumburg castle near Limburg in Germany EU. Some of us have a few books they wrote; they seems to keep themselves hidden behind a big show (all this avatar-guru-business)! They even make religious propaganda here in the internet (go check: http://www.altavista.com (you can search after Mother Meeras homepage here)).
Somebody must be able to give us more inside-informations about this fraud and imposter, but VERY beautiful lady!!!

Here in DK-EU we dont have much believe in GOD (yet!);
However Bhagavan Sri Swami Narayananandaji Maharaj (1902-1988) came hereto every year (1971-1987); established His main Ashrama (N.U.Yoga Trust and Ashrama) and gave Mantra-diksha and yoga-initiations. I first met Him in 1975 here in DK (I was a student then). ALL HIS GOOD AND HONEST BOOKS IS A GREAT HELP TO ALL SINCERE TRUTH-SEEKERS AND YOGA-SADHAKAS, and so are AUROBINDOS books!!!
All this "Mother-worship" have become quite popular nowadays, and its frankly speaking allright all theese young female sadhakas from India come forward now (Kamala Reddy(Mother Meera) was the very youngest and first to come), Chidvilasa Ma, Amritananda Mayi Ma, Mathru Sri Sarada Ramanadham, Karunamayi Ma, Shree Maa, and several others...

I just love Mothe Meera (Shaumburg Castle, near Limburg in West Germany) more than words can tell!
Harikant from Sri Aurobindo Ashram once wrote me, and so did Margaret Smithwhite from their english Aurobindo center; but they didnt give good answers concerning that young Yoga-Mother. Her real name is Kamala Reddy. Born 1960. In 1982 she married a german man Herbert Bednarz. Today they are gurus for many. CAN ALL THIS BE TRUE??? She even have her own homepage etc. Her uncle B.V.Reddy was a devotee of THE OLD YOGAMOTHER MIRA ALFASSA RICHARD (whom you people write and publish about here) for some years at Pondi. That man even took this young Kamala Reddy to the old mother once...
On behalf of several honest truth-seekers and yoga-sadhakas, I would like to know why that lady is calling herself: Mother Meera? Are you people connested with her business? She seems to be hypnotizing people and transmitting prana shakti into others!

Dear Sir/Madam,

This may not be the right page but, one can always try to achieve what one wants to. I am searching for my grandfather who is in the Laundry Division - Pondicherry. His name is Sri Amalendu Bose. Off late we have received no news of his and a letter that my father had sent has been returned to us from the post office. We are very worried. We will try to contact him again but, since I have the internet facility i thought, why not try on the net.

As I was going through the Guest book, I read about your Ashram in Pondichery and Vadodara, I would like to know about it in details and to guide me in building my strength to deal with circumstances in life, and the main to build my concentration, determination which I lack and to hold my anger. I am person who likes to talk on the face and likes to help others but they take advantage of that.

How can Yoga help me in my problems of health.

In our family, my mother is a deciple of Thee Mother and Sri Aurobindo. I have been to Mother's Ashram at Pondichery and MatriMandir couple of times. I visited the Ashram and Auroville several times in the early seventies and have been inspired by the teaching of Sri Aurobindo and Mother ever since.
Recently I am beginning to feel that Ireland should have something of a Center with books on Integral Yoga, Auroville etc.
I would like to come in contact with people who feel the same.

SRI AUROBINDO and MOTHER came into my life at a pretty early age of 15 in 1965, but it took me a long long time to accept them as my spiritual Leader and as Divinity itself. When i finally did, it was thanks to my late wife Deepa who had studied and grown up there and was a true desciple.
I am sure that the world will eventually recognise what THEY really were, and the important role India has to play in the World.

Mother has given us a whole new way of life. Thanks for the site.

I just finished "Sri Aurobindo" by Satprem and am now visiting this site for the first time. I have perused history of science, religion and social change and I found the views of Sri Aurobindo as described by Satprem to be particularly insightful. Auroville is a brave, ambitious experiment. I could stay only a week, but I really enjoyed those days.

Question: Why not reach out to the travelers of India with a visitors "package". As it stood when I arrived, I had the choice of 1) City Tour (poorly run with only a very brief stop at visitors centre and matrimandir) or 2) Becoming a "guest" (time-consuming, confusing, guesthouse registration, purchase guest card, solar kitchen guest services account, etc.)

The Lonely Planet travel guidebook states, "day-trippers and casual tourism are not actively encouraged ... Auroville is not at all meant to be a tourist attraction."

I found that true at the College Guest House. The staff was great, but management were unwelcoming and even a bit "odd". They run a guesthouse but don't seem to like guests.

My question is "Why not encourage tourism?" A simple day package tour could be sold at La Boutique d'Auroville. It would be good publicity and a steady source of revenue. Settlements could opt in or out of the tour route.

My only other comment regards transportation. The motor scooter culture there hardly fits with the values of Auroville. Everyone zooms around, dusty, grim-faced. People seem to slip into the Indian driving mentality. (The most charitable word I can use to describe the drivers in India is "skilled", though juvenile is more appropriate.)

Why doesn't Auroville begin to restric motor vehicles to major routes only. The shuttle to town is great but too infrequent. A regular bus service is what is needed. Perhaps a 10 Rp ticket.
